Welcome to Virtual UWI Field Station
This Virtual Reality (VR) field trip is a 360° image-based educational tool, which aims to provide a detailed impression of the real-world UWI-Field Station.
I designed the educational tour for the primary educational level.
Together with the UWI Field Station team, we realised this first VR field trip.
The tour can foster Interactive digital learning, key competences like collaborative, normative a critical thinking competency for an education for sustainable development.
However, an unguided use can lower the learning effect. Therefore, it is highly recommended to combine the tour with student engagement.
For instance, students could
- do a virtual scavenger hunt, -
- collaboratively develop quizzes
for their classmates,
- become experts for their
classmates for a farm unit,
- deepen or add related
information.
For suggestions, ideas and feedback, please use the contact form.
Have fun!
